Our small Almhotel Grünsteinblick is conveniently located yet peaceful, right by the Königssee and the Berchtesgaden National Park.
A bit away from the hustle and bustle, on a south-facing plateau of the Jenner at an altitude of about 780 meters on the mountain, you will find our hotel.
From here, all opportunities open up for hiking and outdoor enthusiasts! Hike through wild romantic alpine pastures, forests, and valleys, enjoy a boat trip on the legendary Königssee, or try the via ferratas...
No matter where you are, you will always be rewarded with breathtaking views and panoramas!
During your stay, free parking spaces are available in front of and behind the hotel. To unload your luggage, we have a check-in and check-out parking spot directly in front of the main entrance. The parking spaces behind the hotel are available at all times.
By car
Leave the A8 Munich-Salzburg at the "Piding / Berchtesgaden" or if you are coming from Austria taking the "Salzburg Süd" junction and continue to Berchtesgaden via Bad Reichenhall. When you arrive in Berchtesgaden, follow the signs to "Königssee."
After about 30 minutes from the motorway exit, you will reach the Königssee car park. Before that, turn left into the village of Königssee onto Richard-Voß-Strasse.
After approximately 800 m uphill, turn right onto Hochbahnstrasse. You have reached your destination at Hochbahnstrasse 16.
By public transport (train/bus/taxi)
About 20 trains a day serve Berchtesgaden main station. The Berchtesgadener Land Bahn runs hourly on the Berchtesgaden–Freilassing line. In addition, the DB "ICE Königssee" connects Hamburg with Berchtesgaden once a day (from Freilassing as a regional express).
The 841 and 842 buses wait in front of the station to take you to Königssee.
Taxis are also available in the region.
