From the Alm to the Hotel - A house with 120 years of history!

The Grünsteinblick was built in 1904 as the first guest house here on the elevated railway and was already a popular place for the tradespeople of the time to eat and drink, to linger a bit before going on with their work. In 1964 the Grünsteinblick was first named as a guesthouse and the summer visitors, as vacationers were called back then, enjoyed their stay here.

A house with tradition for almost 120 years!

On January 1st, 2014 we, Vera and Bernhard König, bought the Grünsteinblick. With a great deal of sensitivity, foresight and creativity, we have now succeeded in turning the simple house into one of the most popular hotels in the Berchtesgadener Land. We are proud of that!

After our last renovation work, we can now open a new chapter in the history of the Almhotel Grünsteinblick!

We have been able to adorn ourselves with 4 stars since summer 2022!

We would like to thank our great team, who all put their heart and soul into working with us to achieve this award!

We would also like to express our thanks to our guests, who have repeatedly encouraged us in our actions in recent years to advance our vision of the small but fine chalet hotel!
